  I have been getting my hair cut here for the last few years and am shocked to read the poor review by James S. I have had my hair cut and highlighted by different members of staff and have always found them to be very professional and have been pleased with the results. They have always listened to my requests and have styled my hair to my expectation. I like this Salon above other hairdressers I previously tried in St Albans. A friend recommended Artisan a few years ago when I was desperate to find a good saloon and I have been going back ever since. Prior to this I spent a lot of money having the top stylist at a few other better known branded salons in St Albans, but was disappointed with my experiences at these so never went back more than once - for example one top stylist rushed the cut and sent me away with wet hair, and another whilst very friendly was so rough with my hair and the blow dryer I came out with more split ends than I went in with!

  I needed a haircut and a little colouring doing. I thought I was rather specific in what I wanted doing; however, either the stylist didn't list or simply chose not to listen. The colour was added all over when I specifically asked for a few tints here and there. To make matters worse where there was some excess dye applied below the hairline no attempt was made to remove it with a damp towel. Let’s move on to the haircut itself! There was no care to ensure that the customer is given adequate cover from hair going down under your clothing. End result leaving a salon 1hr or so later with dye stains over my forehead and more hair under my shirt than on the floor. Stay well away...
