• Perfect for a romantic break

  Wow, what a great find this hotel is! We spent a late Valentine's break here, and found it to be perfect for a romantic occasion. Although it is set on a farm, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere as you watch the river meandering by and look out over open green fields...We stayed in the main house, our bedroom was fair sized, clean, with a good bathroom (shower only) and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Other rooms in the hotel are spread out within outbuildings-we asked to see some of the higher grade rooms and they were all finished to a high specification, some of them with old lovely character quirks.Reception staff could not have been more helpful and are an absolute credit to the place. They did advise that they host a lot of weddings and it can become very busy, my tip would be to avoid the peak wedding season if possible as it is not a huge hotel and could maybe lose it's restful and relaxing ambiance if full.Finally we ate in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic meal, service was again faultless. It was also reasonable, I believe set menus for £20 each were available when we were there, excellent value for the quality on offer. Breakfast was probably the best we have ever come across in a hotel - though we were both still quite full after our sumptuous meal from the evening before that we couldn't do it enough justice!If you are looking to spoil a loved one, then look no further, the Tewin Bury Farm Hotel can't fail to impress!
